St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hampton, Nebraska, Voter’s Assembly met on Sunday, April 23, 2017 after morning Worship Service in the Fellowship Hall.
Pastor Gruber led the group in opening prayer.
Chairman Allen Klute called the meeting to order. Roll Call was answered by 23 members.
Minutes of the January 2017 meeting were approved.
Pastor Gruber presented his quarterly report – a copy is attached to minutes in Secretary book. He informed the group we have been contacted by Concordia – Seward for possible “Concordia Listens” visits to be made to churches in our circuit. They would like to hold these meetings on a Sunday morning to include a pot luck dinner and presentation on Concordia University.
Roger Bamesberger presented the Treasurer’s Report – copy is attached to minutes in Secretary book. Council decided the interest from the Eunice Troester endowment will be used for Church upkeep projects. Motion made by Gene Senff, seconded by Steve Troester to approve the report, motion carried.
Elder Steve Troester made request on behalf of Lisa, Alan and Kelsey Gretch that they be granted a peaceful release from St. Peter. Motion made by Danielle Bamesberger, second by Roger Bamesberger that we do so, motion carried.
Trustee’s Report: It was requested that we install a motion light on north side of church by walk in doors to make it safer for people using this side of church in the dark. Gene Joseph will install a light. Gene Senff thanked those who have signed up to mow this season.
Mrs. Carnoali presented the Principal’s Report for Hampton Lutheran School – copy is attached to minutes in Secretary book.
Danielle Bamesberger made report for the Board of Directors of HLS – she informed that Mrs. Carnaoli is now permanent Principal, not interim. Danielle also reported on Sunday School and Youth Group-both are going well. Our church is in charge of VBS this year and planning is underway. Volunteers are needed, dates are Friday evening and Saturday, June 2 & 3.
Eunice Schneider reported that all is well with Finance Committee duties.
Larry Stettner expressed thanks for help with ushering.
Larry Stettner reported we have 16 investors and $679,821.00 invested in LCEF.
Jean Anne will put copies of the “Statement of Belief” that was adopted by St. Peter in the mail boxes of members who have not signed as yet, they can sign and return to Jean Anne. Note will be put in bulletin.
Gene Senff told the group that the Orphan Grain Train Fish Boil is set for Saturday, July 15, 2017, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Motion was made and seconded to adjourn. Carried.
Pastor Gruber led us in the Lord’s Prayer to close the meeting.
